Sometimes, depending on your condition, the problems MAY seem to come and go, but eventually they will catch up with you.This is what happened to me. You may have these symptoms constantly until you get treatment. It all depends. There is much that I ignored, and didn’t realize until my problems became more severe because I didn’t look into them. I blamed my bad knee when the problem was actually due to weakness due to nerve compression when I wasn’t able to walk as fast anymore. I had bad burning and spasms in 2001, and the symptoms seemed to kind of go away after I recovered from the knee surgery I had that same year. I had off and on problems, and suddenly this year I am in much pain, cannot move, and have had three epidural steroid injections and physical therapy. Those didn’t completely resolve the problem, so I had fusion, decompression and laminectomy surgery (for a condition called spondylolistesis, ir sliped vertebra) July of this year.
