Does limes disease affect a dogs personality?
any illness can affect his personality. Why do you suspect he has it? If you llive in an area heavily infested with ticks, I would strongly advise you see your vet ASAP. I myself contacted Lymes Disease years ago and as a result my immune system was affected and I am in constant pain and the bones in my feet are diseased and being destroyed and I have to undergo major reconstructive foot surgery. I do not even recall being bitten by a tick – I was just darn lucky I had a great neurologist that tested me for it when I told him I got a horrible pain in my knee one night. God knows how long I had it but I was treated supposedly successfully yet get routine blood rechecks and this week I am going to also have the DNA urine test prior to having the foot surgery. Lymes is serious and very difficult to catch and treat and can always re-occur… I wish your dog the best – get him vaccinated against Lymes to put yourself at ease.
