. No. Macromedia currently does not support Linux with Shockwave. Macromedia recently released a flash player for Linux (included with DiscoverStation); hence we are optimistic that, in the near future, they will also release a Shockwave player. However, Macromedia has made no announcements to this effect. Macromedia’s own advice on this matter is to fill out their Feature Request form: http://www.macromedia.com/support/email/wishform/. Apparently, “the engineers view the wish list regularly and would consider porting the player to Linux if enough users request it.
