Does McCain have a double standard in the “war on drugs”?
First of all Cindy’s drug problem came about because of an addiction created by medical problems. One that was not broken when treatment ended. It was not causesd by a so-called recreational use of drugs. It was still a crime. However, the problem was realized & she was put into a treatment program & was clean. She was clean when the feds caught up with her. The official legal response to the situation was based on those facts. I had not heard about the $250,000 going to the whistle blower, which is irrelevant since it was already a legal matter. The charity was reimbursed for the drugs that she had obtained with forged prescriptions. If only every addict was able to clean themselves up before the law catches up with them, we would be spared a great deal of problems.
