Does medicare cover dermatology?

Most likely not, medicare is very specific in what they will and will not cover the best idea is have your primary care provider go to bat for you with medicare saying it is a medical necessity that you see a dermatologist. If it is only acne you may have a hard sell, and it may be an issue your primary care provider can fix instead of a dermatologist but the only time i have ever heard of medicare covering a dermatologist is when skin cancer is involved.
