If you are moving the .doc file to another computer, then the only way that the MS Office on that computer would be able to use the proper font is if Nimbus Roman No. 9 is installed on that computer. If the correct font is not installed, MS Word will display it as a default font (likely Times New Roman) instead. So, you can still read and open the document, but the font you chose will have changed. So, yeah, if you are moving your paper to another computer, you may want to use Times New Roman to begin with.
