Does MTV even play videos anymore?
I grew up with MTV, watching its birth then maturity and now in my opinion demise. It seems like it is nothing more than a reality channel for anyone and everyone who wants to put on their own show. Reality in college, reality in an apartment, reality for has-beens, reality for want to be’s. It is never ending. What happened to the music? Do we really care what somebody’s crib looks like on a music channel? Shit, I guess so which is why it is on TV to begin with, but still. Can’t we see a video every now and then? I guess for me it doesn’t really matter. I barely have time to listen to music let alone watch it. My music comes in the form of whatever my teenage daughter happens to like for the day. Those damn teens do dictate car activities it seems. These are the times where she even bothers to grace us with her presence. I love that girl but she might kill me someday.
