Does NIGMS offer scholarships for underrepresented minorities, financially disadvantaged individuals or students with disabilities?

A. No. NIGMS does not offer scholarships. At the undergraduate level, we provide funding to colleges and universities to train underrepresented minorities, financially disadvantaged individuals and students with disabilities who wish to pursue Ph.D.s or M.D.-Ph.D.s in biomedical or behavioral research. The schools then select the students to be supported on the grant. A list of these participating schools is available at http://www.nigms.nih.gov/Training/InstGrantLists.htm.
