Does nokia 6165i bluetooth camera CDMA phone uses sim card?

Answer Hi Nelson – The Nokia 6165i is a CDMA only device and does not have dual GSM capabilities so it cannot be used on the GSM network. Even if it was used with a SIM card, it still couldn’t be used on the GSM network because it is a CDMA device. The GSM phones require SIM cards, but they are programmed to work on the GSM frequencies. iDEN phones also use SIM cards, but they are programmed for the iDEN frequencies and are not interchangeable with GSM phones or SIM cards. I would suggest finding a GSM phone that is quad band to use in Africa. Nokia makes a lot of these devices, but unfortunately, the 6165i is not one of them. Please let me know if you need any additional information and I will be happy to try to help. Thanks.
