DOES OIL AFFECT THE STRENGTH OF SYNTHETIC SLINGS?

0

Crude and/or basic lubricating oil has no effect upon synthetic rigging, chemically. It is possible that oil could act as a carrier for other foreign particulate matter, which could cause internal yarn abrasion. We are not aware of any sling failures from this possibility.
