Does operating a FLIR Infrared Camera require any formal training?
No. Our systems are designed to be user friendly for both the novice and the expert thermographer. However, FLIR highly recommend attending our Level 1 thermography training course conducted by our own ITC department. The course teaches new infrared thermographers how to use their IR cameras to collect quality data. Students learn to get accurate temperature reading, accounting for measurement effects such as distance and emissivity and avoid costly mistakes.
