Does participation in the EAP program have a negative affect on an employees job?
No. Information about an employee’s participation or problems will not be divulged to any person without written authorization signed by the employee. The information is not recorded in personnel files nor does it serve as a negative factor in personnel decisions or yearly evaluations. However, if successful completion of a treatment plan has been determined to be a condition of an employee’s employment, the employee may be disciplined (up to and including termination) for failure to comply.
