An established safety profile has been demonstrated in 14 clinical trials worldwide involving the administration of 23,849 doses to 8,088 infants as a primary vaccination series.1 In addition, in a large post-licensure study that reinforces the established safety profile of PEDIARIX, approximately 120,000 doses of PEDIARIX were administered.2 In clinical studies, adverse events in infants receiving PEDIARIX included injection-site reactions (pain, redness, or swelling), fever, and fussiness.1
