Does pigeons feed milk to their kids ??
The first meal they give their newly hatched offspring is called “crop milk”. This milk is not actually a milk, but colostrum- a calcium and vitamin rich milk-like substance that dove and pigeon moms and dads regurgitate to their young as their first meal after they hatch. This provides a nutrition, fluids and important antibodies and bacterias they need to survive.
No they do not fed their kids milk, and they do not have breasts When the male and female pigeon find food such as bread, bird seed, berries, and other fruits, then they digest it and then they fly back to their babies, then the parents open their mouths and the babies stick their heads inside and drink the food thats regurgitated into their parents mouth. The half digested food is called pigeon milk. you can email me for more questions at fatwhale90@yahoo.
