Pizza Hut delivery does not include the tip in your bill. However, they do charge roughly a $2 delivery fee. Half generally goes to the company for insurance, etc. and the other half goes to the delivery driver.

However, this does not mean that you shouldn’t tip. The delivery driver makes around minimum wage, plus only about a dollar per delivery. If you were to tip a waiter, you would tip them 15-20%. The Pizza Hut driver drives to your house to deliver your food. You should tip them generously.

Also, if you order pizza frequently, chances of getting the same delivery driver is high. You should be nice to them, and in turn they might be nice to you and make sure your pizza gets there on time.

You are correct in a since, a certain amount of the deliver charge does go to the driver in gas compensation, its not really tip money its pizza huts way of helping with the cost of maintaince and other hidden fees while driving your own car excessively

No, most places charge a delivery fee between $1 to $3. Please don’t consider this a tip. Delivery fees are kept by the restaurant. I am a pizza deliver driver and I hate delivery fees more than anyone because they kill my tips. People assume the driver keeps the fee. I make the same amount now as I did before they implemented the fee. Be kind, please tip the driver.
