Does pretty much all babies use pacifiers?

It is not unusual, and no-not all babies use them. My oldest two never took a pacifier. My youngest was offered one in the hospital (I had to take it away), and then she did have one that came with a toy she loved. She played with it like a toy, and like she would chew on her other toys, sometimes she would chew on it (usually the “handle” part of the pacifier), but she never used it as intended. When she had a cousin born 11 months after she was, she was a bit jealous and that cousin had a pacifier in her mouth all of the time, and my daughter tried sucking on her toy one a couple of times but was not impressed. I am expecting another baby, and do not plan for him to use a pacifier either. Honestly, I would not recommend introducing it. Babies DO have a natural sucking instinct, but I always nursed my children or they can nurse a bottle if you do not breastfeed, and they can suck on their fingers. I would rather them suck on their fingers than anything else, anyway…but mine never re
