Does pudding have horse hooves in it?

It’s not true. Puddings contain gelatin  and urban legends claim that gelatin comes from horse or cow hooves, though that’s not exactly true. The hooves of these animals are primarily made up of keratin — a protein that can’t be made into gelatin. In addition, now the market is full of vegan puddings in which there definitely can not be such an ingredient. All children are fond of puddings and I think if they heard about it, they would definitely refuse to eat puddings anymore. For example, my children only eat vegan banana puddings, other puddings they do not like at all.

It really depends on what country you live in. Here in the United States No horses hooves are not in there. It is against the law to eat any part of a horse. Although in other countries there may be horse in the pudding if it contains gelatin The gelatin you eat in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues. To make gelatin, manufacturers grind up these various parts and pre-treat them with either a strong acid or a strong base to break down cellular structures and release proteins like collagen. After pre-treatment, the resulting mixture is boiled. During this process, the large collagen protein ends up being partially broken down, and the resulting product is called gelatin.
