Does Reuters DataLink have Forex data?
Yes, Reuters DataLink does provide Forex data. Forex data is also referred to as the spot price for currencies. Reuters has the symbols in the cash commodities symbol file. These symbols, will be formatted differently than other vendors, but have the same date. For example, the Forex symbol for the Japanese Yen, from eSignal, is JY A0-FX. The symbol for the same data from Reuters is JPY=. Most of the values are listed as the number of dollars needed to equal one of the selected currencies. The exception is the Japanese Yen, which is quoted as the number of Yen required to equal one dollar.
