Does salt water damage eyes?
It varies from person to person. Every person has a coating of jelly-like substances on their eyes and the thickness may vary. The thinner the coating the more damaging the effects of saltwater, but the eyes may also be used to salt because our tears contain high amounts of salt. I personally prefer swimming in saltwater without goggles than in freshwater or pool water.
