Does Sarah Palin stand a chance of getting into the White House?
No. First of all, she’s probably not going to run. Her astronomical speaking fees go up when people think she’s running, so she’s doing everything she can to make it look like she’s running. But she doesn’t want to actually be President. She quit the Governorship of Alaska because the pressure from the public scrutiny made the process of running the State too much. Essentially, she couldn’t deal with the investigations into things like an alleged vindictive firing of a State Trooper. Imagine if someone who felt like that was President? What she faced in Alaska is nothing compared to what even the least controversial President faces today on a daily basis. If she does run, she’ll probably drop out early and back someone else, but I don’t think she’ll run at all because running and losing would cost her credibility and, of course, money. But if she did decide to seriously run, she would become the focal point and everyone else would become the anti-Sarah Palin candidate, much like everyo
