A. At one time Scholastic wrote quizzes for certain basal series. Recently, we have focused quiz production on titles that support the programs core mission of developing independent reading skills. Supporting instructional texts – many of which have their own publisher provided assessment – in a teacher supported learning environment might not provide the accurate independent reading score that Scholastic Reading Counts! was designed to provide.
