Does “selfless love” actually exist?

selfless love does exist, but what your talking about is not love, its probably infatuation, which your mind translated in to love, love is the connection of two people.your just setting your self for a huge heartache.you cant love someone that does not love you at all,and not get hurt in the process.

I believe that selfless love is the same as true love. In either case, you may want them to love you back, but you want them to be happy, even if it isn’t with you. I do also believe that it is possible to love someone for a lifetime.

Yes. I love my son. I always will love him. I would be heart broken if he didnt love me back but I will always love him.

No. Every ones love comes from the feelings they get, thus its never selfless. But just having any love is pretty nice, so I wouldn’t worry about it being selfless, just worry about it being genuine.
