Does Server Assistant install additional drivers when performing an operating system installation for Windows NT and Windows 2000?
Server Assistant version 6.0 or later does not install any extra additional drivers. The system scans the PCI bus and installs drivers only for the system board components and any PCI devices found in the PCI expansion slots. This issue causes confusion because Server Assistant 5.x did install additional drivers. Because Server Assistant 5.x was based on Windows 95, the system could not scan for PCI devices, so the system installed drivers for all storage controllers.
