Off-line messages are messages that sent to users that are not in the network. SILC does not by default support off-line messages. Messages sent to detached users will be dropped by the server. It would be possible to develop a service that allows the server to save the messages sent to detached user. It would be wise to make this user configurable, so that messages are saved only if user requested the service from the server. Security issues still remains in the message saving service that would need to be solved.
