Does Sky install phone lines?
No…….As far as I know Virgin, Openreach & one other provider, but can not think of their name, installs phone lines. Anyone can install extensions from the main master sockets including Sky installers. From what I know of the openreach network, owned by BT, any service provider, including Sky, are suppose to be able to order lines on thier customers behalf knocking out the middle man which use to be BT. However I do not think this system is working to well as it appears you have to order your line from BT first then swop at a later date to Sky. The idea of openreach was to have all the service providers ordering lines at wholesale prices direct from openreach. Sky would then be on a level playing field with BT when it came to selling lines via the openreach network.
