Does soda lose its carbonation faster at cold or hot temperatures?

Answer If you leave the cap off, it will never lose carbonation. Soda bottles that are 20 years old that have been tightly capped still have lots of fizz. After getting the bottles to the correct temperature, take the caps off! Be gentle handling the bottles. Shaking bottles makes them lose carbonation faster, so either don’t disturb or shake the bottles, or else shake them both the exact same amount.
