Does someone know how Criss Angel does the disappearing motorcycle trick?
The camera angle is crucial, but it’s not a recorded camera trick. I’m going to tell you, but I’m really not sure you want to know. As usual, the secret to a magic trick is rarely interesting. It’s the skill in how it’s executed that’s the reason I study magic, and this is not what I’d call a particularly skillful trick. Without having seen it in person I can’t say for sure how it’s done, but in all likelihood the parking lot has a trap door in it. It would be fairly easy to raise the curtain, open the door, lower the bike, women come up, etc. It’s a bit more detailed than that: the women hold their hands on certain points of the bike so that it seems like the motorcycle is still there while they’re lowering it. It takes some major construction to pull that off without making the seams obvious. They even walked on it, which means they built it very sturdy. It’s expensive, especially for something that’s supposed to look like an impromptu trick. It takes some nifty hydraulics to make it
