Does SPC make a concerted effort to book acts of different genres or that appeal to different groups?
I would say so. Based on our previous concerts (Lupe Fiasco, OK Go, O.A.R., N.E.R.D, Sean Kingston and now Third Eye Blind) we try and make each performance unique. Obviously, certain genres have a greater appeal to the Emory community, so we try to pick new and interesting artists from several genres. 6) To the best of your recollection, is this the biggest band Emory has hosted in recent years? It’s hard to say. I think that Third Eye Blind is a very well-established band that truly has the biggest appeal for the entire Emory community. We expect over 4,000 people to attend the concert, which would make it the biggest show in recent years. 7) Can you reveal who any of the other candidates were? Unfortunately I cannot. The process for selecting a band is quite tough.
