Does spending on Iraqi war create jobs in America?
Not enough. It create jobs outside America, say as contractors in Iraq. It can also create a few need based jobs domestically. But have you also noticed that it drives up the cost of ammunition? Ammo has gone up in cost by at least 30% on .357, .38, 9mm, .45 and larger caliber ammo. Then there’s the rising cost of fuel, which seems to drive up the cost of anything that has to be transported, including food. In the end all this extra cost means needing more money. This can create a demand for more jobs, but not necessarily create more jobs.
