Oh my… that is a very pity situation 🙁 I love dogs, cats all at the same level, and it is very hard for me to read such things 🙁 I have a dog of my own called Loomie and I care about him a lot. I have even elaborated a balanced and nutritional diet for him so that he would be happy, healthy and full of energy. After a situation I had when he got infected by pests I took good care of him. Thankfully, I bumped into this site with reviews https://petsmatters.net/hartz-ultra-guard-pro-review-all-you-need-to-know/ about pests control product and it helped pretty fast.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the recall of nine batches of pet food after the deaths of more than 25 dogs.

Midwestern Pet Foods has issued a voluntary recall of nine batches of its Sportmix Pet Food after testing by the Missouri Department of Agriculture showed that they contain very high levels of aflatoxin, which in sufficient quantities can cause illness and death in pets.

The FDA said it was aware of at least 28 deaths and eight illnesses in dogs that had eaten the food.

Pets affected by aflatoxin poisoning may experience symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite and vomiting, the agency said.

We used to feed our dogs semi moist dog food until my mom discovered that one of our dogs that had seizures stopped having them when we switched to non sugar dog foods! And while I used very unhealthy dog food in the past, I have done some extensive research into healthy dog food in the past year because of the dog food recall last year. I now use what I consider the best dog food out there. Quality ingredients, no sugar, no soy, wheat or corn, no by products, no preservatives, and the vitamins, and nutrients are cold formed and added to the kibble after the kibble is baked. Plus the company is very dedicated and committed to dogs and cats.
