Current Sun UltraSPARC based machines are PCI 2.1 compliant. However, many of the features which are optional in the PCI 2.1 specification and are now part of the PCI 2.2 specification, have been implemented. You can verify whether a given optional 2.1 feature is present. Sun is implementing the PCI 2.2 specification for future PCI-PCI bridge asics and next generation workstations and servers. 11.5 Does Sun Support PCI-X specification. Sun has no current plans to support PCI-X.
