Does Tesco/Asda sell Tofu?
Larger Tesco and Asda stores sell tofu – Cauldron brand. The marinated one is great, and all the larger Asda’s i’ve been to sell Beech-smoked tofu aswell. The ‘fresh’ tofu is harder to come by – they sell the cauldron version, but if you are used to a fresh tofu from an Asian store or health store it won’t cut it…. They are stored near the packet meals with Quorn products and organic read-meals. They don’t in my experience sell silken tofu – Sainsbury’s, even really smaller ones do seem to – in the dried beans section. IMO finding an Asian supermarket, even a small one is better – decent fresh tofu in loads of different firmness-es….
