Does the ANU have a preferred response to question A7.3 arrangements to manage intellectual property and commercialisation?
The OSR recommends that the following text be used in answer to question A7.3 in the current Discovery Project round: “The Australian National University has an Intellectual Property policy, which outlines appropriate measures to manage Intellectual Property. The ANU adheres to the National Principles of Intellectual Property Management for Publicly Funded Research. In addition, procedures are in place through the Office of Commercialisation, ANU Innovation and ANU Connect to identify commercial opportunities and to facilitate the commercialisation of ANU research.” We ask that all academics use this text as their answer to provide a unified front to the ARC. Other schemes throughout the year (such as DEST ISL and other ARC schemes) will most probably ask this question again. Please also use the answer outlined above for all those schemes.
