Great Seat! Difficult Installation 4 Reviewer: Anonymous , Poughquag, NY Date: February 08, 2009 As my daughter has pretty much outgrown her Britax Marathon I started looking at several booster/youth seats as a replacement. She is rather tall (43″, 47.5 lbs)but she is not yet 4 years old. I finally decided on the Britax Frontier. Other models I considered were the Graco Nautilus and the SafeGuard Go. I was really torn because after reading all the reviews and stories about the installation of the Frontier, the relatively easy installation of the GO made it very appealing. The deciding factor for me between the Go and the Frontier was the lack of side impact protection on the GO. My daughter is large for her age but she is only three and a half. I felt better about a seat with a shell design to at least give me a sense of added protection. i also read that the harness slots on the GO were very similar in position to the Marathon, which she had already maxed out. Her torso is very long.

Each time, it takes roughly thirty minutes to install it and I’m never satisfied that the seat is installed as tightly as it should be. The general problem is the way the belt/LATCH pass-through on the back of the seat is designed. There are vertical oval holes on either side of the back which the car shoulder belt and seat LATCH system pass through. Once the belt is buckled or LATCH straps are attached, it is impossible to tighten the belt/strap as much as is needed for the seat to be installed securely. The oval holes obstruct the seat belt buckle and L
