Does the camera have a self-timer function?
Yes, two types of self-timer, a 10-second and a 2-second timer, are provided. 10sec self-timer: The shutter will be released after 10 seconds. While the self-timer is working, the lamp flashes and audible signals (bip, bip, bip) are emitted. Note: The audible signals do not sound if Audio signals is set to Off. You can set this in Setup MENU 3 – Audio signals. 2sec self-timer: When the shutter button is pressed down, the mirror is pulled up, and the shutter will be released after 2 seconds. This reduces the effects of vibration caused by the mirror being pulled up, or camera shake caused by pressing the shutter release button. Notes: • You cannot view the image in the viewfinder after the mirror is pulled up. • With the 2-second timer, no lamp flashes and no audible signal is emitted. • The 2-second self-timer and 10-second self-timer settings are retained until the DRIVE button settings are changed.
