The consortium does not have plans to do so at this time. The Consortium will be responsible for determining the future direction of the specification, however. HyperTransport technology has a high degree of maturity and silicon implemented today. Close to 200 partners are working at various levels on it. HyperTransport technology is the result of three years of intense work. Developers of the HyperTransport technology analyzed important aspects of a system link before finalizing version 1.0 of this specification.
