Does the dark knight contain clues on the next villains for batman 3?
William Fitchner’s cameo was a nod to the Dark Knight being influenced massively by the film Heat – of which, after repeating viewings is accurate. William Fitchner was also in Heat. The relationship in the film between the Joker and Batman is very similar to the relationship between Hanna and Macauley in Heat; albeit on a less dramatic scale.
