Does the DfES advocate the use of ex drug-users?
DfES guidance urges schools to carefully consider involving ex-users. If they are to be involved this should be because they are skilled in facilitating pupil learning and not simply by virtue of their status as a former user. When selecting any external contributor schools should be clear on the intended learning outcomes before deciding who is best placed to meet them.
