Does the drug Seroquel cause diabetes?

0

I was treated with Seroquel for two years for depression and insomnia. I gained 95 pounds while on the drug and developed type II diabetes. I tapered slowly off the drug, as sudden withdrawal can be dangerous. I lost, on average a POUND A DAY! I am now back to a healthy weight, yet I still have problems with high blood sugar. There is also the danger of developing tardive dyskinesia. This is a horrible side effect! If you have ever known anyone who has tardive dyskinesia, you would understand. These people are miserable, and the effect can be permanent! Seroquel is a dangerous drug! There are other medications that are safer and more effective.
