Does the Duke of Edinburgh still drive around London in his taxi?
Not sure about the Duke of Edinburgh and his taxi, but I have seen Prince William and Harry on the tube. Honestly! It was quite a few years ago (before Diana died) and my mum and I were travelling on the district line. It was during the daytime, on a week day. The carriage was quite empty, but at St James’s Park a few people got on including two young boys who looked very much like the princes and were about the right age and sat directly opposite us. Other people included a middle aged woman who sat next to them and various other people who got on at other doors and either stood in the doorways or scattered around the carriage. You wouldn’t have known that all of the people were together and it was only afterwards that we realised they were probably (armed!) minders. Mum and I couldn’t believe what we were seeing, and the two boys looked rather mischevious, looking over at us gawping at them and nudging each other. The boys got off at South Kensington.
