I guess this is a matter of opinion. Because I can remember when I had an easy bake oven it was great and the cakes were awesome. I just bought one for my step daughter for Christmas and it was wonderful as well. The cakes were just as I remember them. So I say go for it. And when we run out of the easy bake cake mix, we just use the box cake mix, I take some for the real over and she uses some for her over.
