Does the extended warranty provide wear and tear coverage?
Most extended warranties in the industry are traditional mechanical breakdown plans. The disadvantage of having a traditional mechanical breakdown plan is that it provides protection for covered components only in the event that the component in question experiences a mechanical breakdown. Mechanical breakdown is defined as breakage or total failure of a component making the component incapable of performing the function for which it was designed. These plans do not have any wear and tear coverage.
