Yes. The Phoenix Convention Center uses biodegradable materials in its daily operations. In the near future, plastic flatware will be replaced with corn-based biodegradable flatware. • Does the facility provide training to employees on these green initiatives? Yes. The Phoenix Convention routinely disseminates reminders to staff about energy conservation efforts and how individual efforts make a difference. A training program is in the development stages which will provide a more in-depth, comprehensive overview of our sustainability programs. • What other environmental initiatives has the facility undertaken, including any environment- related certification possessed?
