Does the Laser Defuser® EX or EX2 only protect the license plate area?
A. The license plate area is one of the easiest and most reflective areas on a vehicle for police to target. That’s why laser gun operators are traditionally trained to aim there, and that’s why the Laser Defuser was designed to strategically mount there. The effectiveness of the Defuser is not limited to that area only. At typical target ranges between 500 to 1,000 feet, the Defuser will protect the entire front of a traditional size car – headlights, grill, and bumper included. For larger profile vehicles such as SUVs, vans etc. we recommend the EX-2 for maximum coverage and protection.
