Does the Long Haired German Shepherd breed shed?
Yes! And, if anyone tells you otherwise, they are not selling this breed or are just trying to sell you a dog. The Long Coat German Shepherd tends to blow tufts of soft fluffy fur on occasion vs. a stiff, prickly, single hair like that of the short coat. They do blow their coats a couple times a year very large, then only a smaller shedding through out the year. If you keep them groomed a couple times a week, the shedding is minimal.
