Does the Mississippi River flow near Fargo North Dakota?

Not really! The Missouri River is the river that is flooding Fargo, ND. That river (Missouri) flows into the Mississippi River. If it is flooding upstream in the Missouri River, that water eventually will reach the Mississippi River. Because of all the locks, dams, and etc the Army Corp of Engineers can controll, to a certain degree, some of the rising water downstream. Unless down stream is hit with some heavy rains too, to add to the rising water, it is doubtful that this flood will reach that high in other southern states on the Mississippi.
