Does the online system have the same data requirements as the existing paper system?
Some of the data requirements have been streamlined to make the forms easier to use and changes have been made to the information required to determine contribution deductions and exemptions and total waste disposed of that is subject to the contribution. We have modified our procedures so that prompt feedback and advice can be provided on applications for deductions and the Department is moving towards a “pre-approval” approach to provide facilities with certainty about approved rebates to eliminate the need for delayed reimbursement.
