Does the Roomba 570 really works?”
It’s not the 570. It’s an earlier model my kids got me for Christmas last year. Presumably the newer model would be even better. I have all wood floors with a few area rugs. It works “good enough” on wood floors. The floor is noticeably cleaner when it’s done, and all the dirt and grit as well as the dog hair and dust bunnies are gone. It’s clearly not as thorough as a hand-vacuuming for corners and under things, but it’s good enough for every day. It has no problems getting up onto my area rugs from the wood floor, except it does occasionally get hung up on the one with a fringed edge. The big advantage for me is I hate vacuuming so I rarely do it. I do have to prep a little before starting the Roomba, picking up things like lamp cords and other things it might get hung up on. The virtual walls do a good job of keeping it where I want it. When not in use it lives unobtrusively in its little recharging compartment which I installed on the wall in my pantry. It’s easy to empty it and cl
