Since healthcare facilities installing sensor faucets are doing so for the hygienic benefits, Speakman offers the option of a plain end spout with a laminar flow control in the base of the spout. This configuration eliminates the possibility of build-up of bacteria within the aerator. Plain end spouts are required by the plumbing code for healthcare facilities in many regions of the United States. The gooseneck spouts may also be removed and replaced from above the counter.
