Does the SIMS/Technology person at the LEAs need to be part of the LEA Leadership Team and what will their roll be?
NC DPI recommends that the LEA Leadership Team include the LEA SIMS data managers because CECAS will be importing SIMS data prior to CECAS going live in September. LEAS and Charter Schools may also want to rely on these data manager for technical expertise as CECAS assumes a greater role in reporting EC student information. Therefore, these individuals will need to become very familiar with this system.
